Urology & andrology consultations

Andrology is the field devoted to men's health: hormones, fertility and sexual function. I am a certified clinical andrologist (PTA) - during the consultation I carry out full diagnostics and plan your treatment.

What an andrologist does

An andrologist diagnoses and treats disorders of the male reproductive system - primarily hormonal deficiencies, erectile dysfunction and male infertility. I am a member of the Polish and American Societies of Andrology and a certified clinical andrologist of the Polish Society of Andrology.

02

Late-onset hypogonadism - the "male menopause"

Late-onset hypogonadism (LOH) is a condition in which sex hormone levels decline in an ageing man. It leads to reduced libido and erectile dysfunction, as well as unfavourable metabolic changes: an increase in body fat, triglycerides and cholesterol, which raises the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Once the diagnosis is confirmed by tests, treatment mainly involves replacing testosterone - as an injection or gel - under regular medical supervision.

03

Male infertility

Impaired semen parameters affect a growing number of men. I begin the work-up with a detailed medical history, an assessment of the semen analysis and hormone tests, a physical examination and an ultrasound. Treatment depends on the cause - it may be conservative (pharmacological) or surgical.

You will find more details on the Male infertility page.

04

Premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation is defined as ejaculation that occurs within about a minute of the start of intercourse, or before it. The cause is most often psychogenic (disturbances in serotonin pathways), but infections of the urogenital tract can also be responsible - which is why a urological examination is always needed.

Treatment combines exercises that delay ejaculation, oral pharmacotherapy and topical anaesthetic gels.

05

Other areas

During consultations I also address erectile dysfunction and Peyronie's disease (penile curvature).

06

Online consultation

I do offer online consultations. You book them through the same calendar as an in-office visit - normally as an audio call, or video on request. It works well for going through test results, continuing treatment, monitoring testosterone therapy, or a second opinion before a procedure.

An online consultation does not replace a physical examination or an ultrasound. If you are raising a problem for the first time, I will usually suggest an in-office visit, where I perform imaging on site. You will find the fee in the price list.

Watch: ask the urologist

I regularly answer patients' questions live - without taboo, in plain language. Watch one of the Q&A sessions (in Polish).

Frequently asked questions

How should I prepare for my first appointment?

Bring the results of any previous tests (blood, semen, ultrasound) and a list of the medications you take. We will plan the rest of the diagnostics together.

Is an ultrasound performed during the visit?

Yes - when needed, I perform an ultrasound of the urogenital system on site, during the consultation.

Is testosterone treatment safe?

Carried out correctly - after confirming the deficiency and with regular monitoring - it is a recognised treatment. It does, however, require qualification and medical supervision; it is not suitable for every patient.

Do you offer online consultations?

Yes. An online consultation is booked through the same calendar as an in-office visit. It is normally an audio call, or video on request. It does not replace a physical examination or an ultrasound, so for a new urological problem I usually suggest coming to the practice.
